{Wedding} Mary+Michael, A Villa Christina Wedding

Thursday, November 11, 2010 | |

As I said in my earlier post, Mary and Michael were just married at Villa Christina.  It was a beautiful wedding and venue.  The grounds of Villa Christina were stunning, especially considering the central location on the venue.

Mary and Michael like being different and outside the box.  There's a right way to be outside the box and a not-so-right way.  These guys know the right way and have style about it, too!  They were all about entertaining their guests.  In lieu of dancing, there was karaoke.  WOW PhotoBooths was there with a table full of props Mary and Michael brought for entertainment.  And to top it all, Mary and Michael had the most unique first dance ever!  They performed the entire Thriller dance for their guests.  They received a resounding two thumbs up from Mary's Dad!!!

I love the industrial feel of this photograph.

Mary was a brave girl to wear these sky high heels!!

This bridge was the perfect spot for their First Look!

They were so happy to see each other, and so laid back on their wedding day.

I really think Michael loved Mary's dress.

Love the beautiful colors in this photograph.

These rocks were awesome for staggering groups of people.

Time for the ceremony!

A quick talk with dad before walking down the aisle.

I told you Mary and Michael think outside the box.  Their attendants were mixed, because they had all kinds of friends.  It totally makes sense to me!

This little guy was loving the camera.  He posed for us every chance he got!

Mary and Michael slipped away after the ceremony.  We caught up with them and snuck some photographs during their quiet time.

They had an adorable cupcake tower as their wedding cake.

Our little friend really enjoyed his cupcake.  :)

Mary and Michael had a morning wedding, complete with Mary's tea length dress and a brunch reception.  The omelette bar was the highlight of brunch.

WOW PhotoBooths has a neat concept.  When guests get in the photobooth, it prints out a sheet of 6 photographs.  They cut the photographs and the guest keeps half and the other half goes into a book for the bride and groom, along with a personal note from the guest.  It makes a great keepsake for both the guest and bride+groom.

I told you they did the Thriller dance as their first dance.  By the end, friends had joined in on the fun!

Karaoke.  It was a hit!!!  This particular group of guys was singing Shania Twain's "Man, I feel like a woman."  They totally got into it with boas and everything!

After a few numbers and towards the end of the reception, many of the guests closed the reception with a performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.  Every single time I got up from editing their wedding, I caught myself singing the song.

This photograph of Mary's dad cracks me up every time!  They were all into the karaoke and it was a blast!

They had the coolest exit I have ever seen.  Not because of the bubble line (though it was a great bubble line), but because of what Mary sees in this photograph.

The limo had arrived at the entrance with the next bride and groom with a reservation for Villa Christina.  They were all so friendly and it felt like they had known each other for years.  After hugs and handshakes, the new bride and groom headed into Villa Christina with a warm welcome from Mary and Michael's guests complete with cheers and bubbles.  :)  It was so cool!
