Our new simple wedding photography website...unveiled!

Saturday, January 8, 2011

Just a few days ago I shared our new vision with you for the year, and gave you a hint of our new look & our new face.  Well, today is the big day!  The t's are crossed and the i's are dotted, and we have settled in to drink a cup of joe and admire our beautiful work.  ;)
Until now, you've gotten accustomed to checking us out at our photography website, our photography blog, our facebook page, and even our diehard friends check out our twitter page.  Plus!  When you receive your photos, you get to visit our client galleries and shopping cart.  That's a ton of places to track us down, and can get confusing at times.  So, we're simplifying!  Now, you can get to every piece of us from our new website, right there at www.natoshaledbetterphotography.com.
Now the website and blog are wedded and have moved into the same address, and our facebook and twitter feeds are right there hanging out at the top.  We are also looking into streamlining your facebook experience to make it easier for you to "like" your favorite photos right from our blog or comment by logging in with your facebook account.  So, be watching for those cool features to be rolling out soon!
We are loving our new look, and think it totally looks like us.  We are fun, but cool, calm and down to earth (at least, we like to think so!).  It's fresh, but beautiful and shows off the genuine beauty of all our favorite friends and their gorgeous weddings!
See you on the other side!

Fresh. Beautiful. Genuine

Friday, January 7, 2011

The new year is a great time to focus on the things that are most important to you.  And do something about it.  So.  We are excited to announce a new face for Natosha Ledbetter Photography.  It has been a long time coming, and we are excited about the possibilities for our new look.  Be watching for changes on all our websites, and you just might see a sneak peek of our new face before our new website actually goes up.  ;)
Until now, we have been taking photos because we love it.  Really.  We would do it every day if we could.  But I believe there is great merit in being intentional and purposeful.  That is the motivation for our new year.
This year, we will focus on 3 essential ideas.  Fresh.  Beautiful.  Genuine.
Fresh.  Nathan and I love fresh, crisp (or creamy) things.  We think of fresh cut grass, and cool fresh air.  We want our photos to be a breath of fresh air in a world full of stale sameness.
Beautiful.  You are beautiful.  Your man-to-be thinks you are beautiful.  And we all know you’re going to be amazingly beautiful on your wedding day.  And so are your wedding photographs.
Genuine.  We are just real.  We all do our best, but when it gets down to it, life happens.  And that’s okay.  We understand that we’re not all perfect.  And in a world like we live in when there is so much fluff, we’d rather just be the real thing.  We work hard, try our best, and give it all we’ve got.  That is the real us.
So, our new favorite words are a combination of smells, ideas and goals.  And I could talk about those 3 words all day long.  They are some of my favorites, especially when they are all together.  But instead of blabbing on and on, I am going to show you a photo we took at a recent wedding so you can see what I’m talking about.
Fresh. Beautiful. Genuine.
There.  Do you think this is fresh, beautiful and genuine?  This is almost the photo taken right out of the camera.  And I think it embodies our new exciting direction for the new year.
I am so glad you cared enough to read my rambling on.  We are blessed to have a few quiet months to ourselves before the wedding season ramps up, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see a ton of action here.  Just know that behind the scenes, we are working on a fresh direction and a new vision for our sweet little company.
Thank you for making our year what is has been.
To you, we are forever grateful.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Friday, December 24, 2010

This year has been a year of change for our family.  Not only have we been so blessed to be your photographers, but we have been blessed to settle into our new home and lifestyle.  Times are tight for our family like many others.  Still, we are so grateful for the opportunities we have been provided, and for the families we have been blessed to spend time with, including our own.

We are doing something different for Christmas this year.  Instead of budgeting out our limited cash for gadgets-and-gizmos-a-plenty, we are tightening up our bootstraps and focusing our time and energies on what really matters: loved ones.  The few gifts we are giving are made possible by special efforts and sacrifices, not hours standing in line at Best Buy with a wad of cash in our hand.  Christmas isn't about the gifts.  It's about the people you love.  And the freedom and grace we have the privilege to embrace.

This Christmas, I do hope you will take a moment to tell the ones you care about that you love them.  And I hope you take a second to hug their neck.  Because you never know what this next year will hold.  I have a family that loves me, a roof over my head, food on my table, and clean water to drink, and I am doing much better than so many people living on this big blue marble of ours.  So, instead of spending time with my face in a catalog (or on Amazon.com) trying to figure out how to spend my Christmas cash, I intend to spend some time in quiet, thinking on all the "things" I have been blessed with.  I hope you do the same.

God has been so good.

Merry Christmas.

{Wedding} Anne+Brad, A Ragsdale Inn Wedding

Monday, December 20, 2010

Whwew!  I know it looks like there hasn't been anything going on over here, but the truth is, I've been too busy to catch up.  So, the first thing I want to share with you is Anne and Brad's Wedding. We got to know Anne and Brad during their Engagement Session at Brad's home about a month ago.

Their wedding was just as amazing.  Anne and Brad were married at the First United Methodist Church in Dallas, Georgia and enjoyed their reception at the Ragsdale Inn, just down the street from the church.  Anne and Brad are so loving to each other, and so romantic.  You can just tell when two people have a deep, genuine care and concern for each other and these two do.

Their wedding was simple and gorgeous.  Let's have a look!

Anne's wedding day style was classically simple with a vintage flavor.  Even her shoes were classic with a whisper of vintage flair.

Anne and Brad were married just after Thanksgiving, so it was going to be cold outside.  Especially for the carriage ride they had planned through downtown Dallas.

While I was covering the lovely ladies getting ready, Nathan was hanging out with the guys downstairs getting ready.  He is getting really great at dynamically capturing the details of the day.

Isn't Anne's ring gorgeous?

I snuck downstairs and got a peek of Brad through the little window.

Anne had perfect makeup all day long!

Angela from Wingers Media covered the event and did some really sweet interviews before the ceremony.

Sigh.  I. Love. This.
(couldn't you see this as a huge framed portrait in a serene bedroom?  Or the living room?

We had a great time hanging out with Anne's family before the ceremony began.

Another classic portrait.  Sigh.

My favorite of the day.  It's such a creamy, buttery photo.

We took the guys outside for some sunshine and brisk, fresh air.

And the girls had some extra time before the ceremony to hang out and play around.  They were too much fun!

:D

This is a photo of Anne's dad through the back doors of the sanctuary before he and Anne walked down the aisle.

The sanctuary was really gorgeous, with beautiful deep colored wood.  Brad's uncle was an honored guest at the ceremony and stood up front with the men.  It was

I love the fact that we were able to capture the ring exchange from an angle that made it easy to see.

I know Brad isn't smiling in this photo, but he was so sweet and emotional that this one is a classic.

Our guest of honor in the receiving line....

After the ceremony we headed to downtown Dallas, Georgia for some quiet time with just Anne and Brad.  I love the way Brad looks at Anne.

Aren't they precious?!

Anne saw a similar photo to this in a magazine and loved the drama.  Now she has some drama of her own!

Totally. Gallery. Worthy.

After our quiet time in downtown, Anne and Brad were excited to take their carriage ride to the Ragsdale Inn.  Anne said a quick "hello" to the horse before getting in the carriage.

Anne and Brad headed into the house and spared no time getting to the first dance.

So sweet.

Christmas trees and wedding cakes.  These are a few of my favorite things.

What a gorgeous dress.

Anne's smile in this photo just makes me happy.

There was a little hokey pokey going on during the reception....

Story time!  Anne's dad was really great for the camera, but this particular instance I was trying to get a photo of him and Anne's sister just sitting and chatting with the family.  He knew I was there and was covering his face waiting on me to take a photo.  I knew what he was doing so I tricked him into getting this really great expression from him.  :)

I am not real sure, but I think the bouquet accidentally on purpose changed hands sometime after the catch....

Sparklers were a perfect way to light up the cold winter night.

After the love birds slipped away, the girls had a great time playing with a TON of sparklers!  :)

It was a perfect wedding and we are so happy for Anne and Brad.  They have a couple more sessions coming up in the near future and we can't wait to share them, too!

Slideshow time!
