I've never been to a photography workshop, but have aaalllways wanted to. We just haven't been ale to fit it into our budget so far. But, I do keep regular tabs on this website called creativelive.com. Chase Jarvis (commercial photographer for Nike and the like) has stepped in to help the original tech crew that was there last year. They've got awesome free online classes for creative and technology people (they even have watercolor classes!). Most of the classes happen once a week for 4-6 weeks and as long as you watch them live, they're free.
So, they have just started weekend workshops with some of the leaders in the industries (like Zach Arias, lighting guru from our own ATL!). I have sooo been looking forward to this week's workshop. Jasmine Star is the instructor (one of the top wedding photographers!) and she's completely dishing out all her photography and business secrets. It started 3 hours ago and I've learned so much already. Fortunately, I've learned I am doing a lot of things right!! Wooo!!! And learning about some things that I need to do more of! It's soo awesome!
So, at this point, I am feeling a bit guilty. I'm okay about staying on top of posting photos and the latest photography news (except the ones I am holding for mag. publications :D ), but I've been hiding on this side of my blog and only sharing part of me part of the time. I am going to try to do better about that. If you're going to hang with me for an entire day (or two) on the most important day of your life, you really should know me better than I've let you know me so far. :)
So, be ready for a little more personality and more real life (even if it's a little 'boring' LOL!) I'll try to keep it from being totally boring, but I am excited about sharing my life for real. Letting you get to know the real me. :) And I really hope I get to know the real you too!
